Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
A representative for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing additional books by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour involving women.
The company declined to specify the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works combined, including a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
His career breakthrough occurred on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
