Eulogies Flow for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he only now felt able to share openly about his deep grief.

"Enough time has passed that I can finally put my grief into words," shared Elwes, adding that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began passing more hours together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the production, remarking that he could not remember "any day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. This is one of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "Claiming that they were a formidable pair would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a different tribute, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with the cast, and he comprehended the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Judicial Actions: Autopsy Reports Withheld

Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to bar the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A legal directive put a restriction on the investigation to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the outcome of foul play, with a official listing listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

Following the tragedy, public figures shared divergent comments.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, providing controversial statements that were met with immediate backlash by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors recently. Speaking on his program, Rogan described the remarks as "shocking" and implied they revealed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser ought to have stepped in when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
