Man Who Approached Ariana Grande on the occasion of Premiere Banned from Singapore

A man from Australia who vaulted across a fence and grabbed celebrity Ariana Grande has been deported and prohibited from Singapore.

The individual, twenty-six, was given a sentence to nine days in detention for being a public nuisance and has now been "banned from entering the country again," Singaporean immigration authorities informed local media.

The man shoved through camera crews and rushed toward the actress and singer, who was present at the regional launch for the film on November 13. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo pulled him back from Grande.

Wen has a history of interrupting performances and star-studded occasions, including leaping onto the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year.

The event provoked strong reactions in Singapore, with numerous people accusing him of triggering past trauma for the singer.

The pop star has spoken of suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a terrorist bombing at her concert in the English city in May 2017 killed 22 individuals and affected hundreds.

In the legal process, the authorities learned he had tried to gain access on the film's premiere twice, according to regional reports.

He then made a follow-up try to cross the barriers. Security staff stopped him and held him in place.

Wen later posted recordings appreciating the celebrity for letting him on the carpet and said he was "at liberty."

Authorities arrested him the next day and accused him with disorderly conduct, to which he confessed.

The District Judge the magistrate was quoted by media reports as remarking that the man sought attention, commenting that he was mistaken to think he would not face any penalties.

The singer has not commented on the case.

Cynthia Erivo mentioned the event to a media outlet, remarking that she "simply desired to ensure my co-star was protected."

"I'm sure he had no intention to us injury, but you can't predict with those things, and I wanted to make sure that she was fine. That was my immediate response," she stated.
