A American-Palestinian youth having endured nine months in imprisonment by Israel absent formal charges gained freedom.

Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest this past winter within the occupied West Bank, during a family visit from his Florida home accused of stone-throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.

The US state department applauded the teenager's freedom.

Mohammed, now 16, required hospitalization for treatment immediately after release, relatives told the media.

Family described him as visibly pale and thin, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.

Via family representatives, the youth's uncle expressed the family's "immense relief".

Family member Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "surviving a terrible, unending nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"Right now, we are focused on getting Mohammed urgent medical care he needs following exposure to Israel's abuse and brutal treatment over several months."

American authorities stated they would maintain to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.

{"The Trump Administration considers paramount to the protection and welfare of American nationals"," the department emphasized.

Several congressional representatives submitted a formal letter to diplomatic officials and the administration, urging greater action for his freedom.

The father, with four children who runs an ice cream business in Florida, previously said Mohammed acknowledged allegations to throwing stones because the soldiers beat him.

There were no visits nor direct contact since the arrest, receiving updates exclusively about his son's condition via legal paperwork.

The teenager remained absent formal charges at Ofer detention facility on the West Bank.

The facility also contains mature inmates, including individuals found guilty for major terrorist activities including killings.

There are around several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, according to the Israeli Prison Service.

Several lack formal charges along with monitoring agencies, including UN bodies, say some have suffered mistreatment and torture.

Subsequent to his liberation, family representatives announced they would maintain their efforts demanding accountability for their family member family member Sayfollah.

This young American-Palestinian according to health authorities was beaten to death by radical settlers following tensions during summer.

Initially, military authorities reported they were examining reports a Palestinian civilian had died.

Mohammed and Sayfollah were employed together within the family's frozen treats establishment based in Florida.

No indictments occurred with Sayfollah's killing.

"We anticipate United States leadership to protect our families," the uncle stated.
