Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The influential game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his family, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
